Spectacular architecture was reflected in the visuals for the promotional campaign which won the marketing contract for this exciting new visitor attraction in a three-way pitch. Set in a country park, The Woodhorn Experience is part museum, part exhibition, part art gallery and part archive research - a heady combination. The museum was set to reopen following a £16 million project which included restoration to buildings at the old working mine and a spectacular new-build home for exhibition and gallery spaces. The Northumberland county archive was also moved to the museum, with sixty computer terminals installed for the public and businesses to research information. The launch campaign included striking visuals, teaser literature, posters, information leaflets, press advertising, television campaign, a dedicated website, local and national PR and editorials, and a promotional showreel to encourage sponsorship. We were also involved in designing many of the on-site directional signs, as well as literature and support materials for the schools programme. Although launched in the winter off-season, due to the construction schedule, annual visitor target numbers were exceeded within the first few months. |
